Improve Your Golf Swing

Want to Improve your Golf Swing? There are so many ways to do this, but the best way is to read about how to do it first. Yes, you can go out and hire a golf pro to teach you how to swing a club and pay hundreds of dollars for the lesson. Or, you can set some goals for yourself and learn how to improve your golf swing on your own. All it takes is practice. Once you know the correct way to swing a club you just need to practice what you learn. The best book I have read on how to improve your golf swing is called the “Simple Golf Swing”.

If you are serious about improving your golf swing then you have probably been searching for a way to do it for some time. The thing that bothers me about golf pros is that charge hundreds of dollars for lessons when they know the same thing they teach is in a book for much less. The “Simple Golf Swing” is one of these books that will teach you how to dramtically improve your golf swing.

There is much more to a golf swing than just learning how to hit the ball. One main factor is how your spine is positioned. The “Simple Golf Swing” will teach you how to use your body to hit the ball longer and straighter. You will also learn how to position your hands correctly, this is very important when trying to improve your golf swing. The challenge that the “Simple Golf Swing” offers it that you will cut 7 strokes off your game around the second week of practicing the new mechanics taught in the guide.

The “Simple Golf Swing” will give you a step-by-step guide with detailed photos on how to improve your golf swing. You will learn how to properly grip the club for consistency. You will learn how align the face of your club to eliminate a hook or slice that you may have previously had. The best part about this system is that you will learn consistency. If you keep your swing consistent you will soon see that you will always hit the ball straight. It is a great boost of confidence to know that you will get to the tee box and drive the ball right down the center of the fairway.

Obviously I reccommend the “Simple Golf Swing” to anyone who wants to improve their golf swing. If you don’t think that this guide will help then think about this next time you play 18 holes. Count how many strokes you had that sliced or hooked. Count how many times you missed the green to the right or left by a few feet and had to chip on. Count how many times you just mis hit the ball. If this number is greater than 10, you will certainly benefit from the “Simple Golf Swing” system.

The Truth About Your Golf Swing, Proper Technique is the Key

I bet that you have heard it all. Unless you take a lot of lessons, you will never become the golfer who consistently breaks 80. You have read all of the golf magazines. They all say the same thing. Invest thousands of dollars in attending a fancy 3-day seminar conducted by one of the top teaching professionals in the business. It is the only way to lower your handicap, claim the experts.

But, while you have a passion for the game, forget about that fancy 3-day golf seminar at a fancy Florida resort. Even forking over the $100 for a one hour lesson by the pro at your local driving range, or country club is not possible. You also believe that you will need dozens of lessons to show real improvement. With that option unavailable, you become resigned to the fact that you will just stay at your present level. You have problems with your golf swing, proper technique ruined by flaws. I know how you feel with your frustration. However, please do not give up.

The truth about your golf swing is the following. You do not have the proper technique when it comes to how you set your body in position with relation to how you complete the swing process with each club. With the basic facts, most amateur golfers know to bend the knees slightly during set up and address towards the ball. But most non-professional golfers are not aware of the importance of one key fact which has to do with body stance during the complete stroke process.

Many amateur golfers do not understand the importance of proper body stance. It is why many have flaws in their golf swing; proper technique an ideal that is not even close to the level which will allow them to become fairly competent in the sport.

So, to the many golfers who love the game but not getting the results that they seek? There is a system that will correct your flaws. You will eliminate that slice, and develop more consistency with your golf swing. Best of all, it will not cost you thousands of dollars through repeated lessons with your local pro.

Instead, keep the money in your wallet. Who knows? One day perhaps you will be the one with your hand held out. Eventually if you learn to build a better golf swing, you will be the individual who will be grinning while the opponents in your weekend foursome are slipping cash into your hand. During the round, you beat them with a score that they never thought would be possible, coming from you.

With regards to ones golf swing, proper technique is essential for achieving maximum results. This theory applies from the absolute novice to the elite professionals on tour. Now that you have read this article, Im sure that you want to know about this one key fact that I hinted at above. How to Improve Your Golf Swing and Game

How to improve at golf can be broken into many parts, most people learning, start with the swing.(I would like to know how most tour professionals learned golf.) Golf consists of many parts and here is some of the main things to consider:

The swing Long game Short game Putting Course management Tactics Fitness Experience

Firstly you can break the golf swing into various parts;

Knowing how to hit the ball Being able to hit the ball Consistency of strike

There are so many golf swing gurus suggesting different methods, making sense of it all can be daunting. Each coach, teacher, golf professional, has their own way of showing how to better your swing.Who to go to for lessons or coaching is an almost impossible task to solve.I’ve heard a story of one professional telling a 13 year old playing off a handicap of 2.When he attended the professionals’ range for an initial assessment was told to “hit some balls to see what you’ve got” The boy went on to hit his usual premier flight shots consistently for 30 – 40 balls.

The pro told him to stop, the boy feeling quite proud of himself for hitting so well, was asked how many parts do you think are in the golf swing? The boy looked bewildered and replied the backswing and the downswing, two said the boy.No the professional said to him, ninety two points and you are on point 7, so you have a long way to go.The boy needless to say came out in tears and fortunately his father, a very good golfer, was waiting for him. Hearing of this the father told the professional to go put his lessons ‘where the sun doesn’t shine’.

So what is the answer, for experienced players find a coach who will work with your game not try to change you into something you are not e.g. ‘a page forty five swing’ .Don’t alter your swing to a perfect formula, it is not possible, work with what you’ve got and a professional teacher should appreciate this and coach you on slight mistakes within your game.

Good players who have the qualities should be looking to the externals of their game. For instance many externals could be regarded as fitness, diet, flexibility, strength and stamina. One option to relieve your tiredness is by way of getting a golf trolley or better still a powered trolley.

There are many good suppliers of golf trolleys and electric trolleys around and this should take some of the stress from carrying your clubs around the golf course.

There is a great video on you tube showing the ridiculousness of some theory golf teachers, search under ‘the ultimate golf lesson’. Remember next time looking for a golf coach, KISS – keep it simple stupid.

Improve your Back Swing With a Basketball

I ran a golf school in my home town for a number of years. It was a small town of about 4000 people, with larger towns surrounding ours. One of the major roads that led to my town went right past the driving range. There were many people who would drive by and see me with a player, or a group of players, throwing basketballs back and forth. When I went down to the grocery store, the number one question I would get was ‘Kris, how in the world does a basketball make you a better golfer?’ This article is dedicated to answering that very question. For an understanding of the fundamentals of the golf swing, visit my website www.free-golf-lessons.com.

As we all know it is a difficult game that we are passionate about. It is also not easy to improve. Not because of ability, but more often because of time and not knowing what to practice during that time. It is hard to get to the driving range enough to groove a new move. The reason I bring the ball on the range is to demonstrate how each player can improve at home. It helps if you can hit balls for hours and hours. However, if you can put in a few minutes a day of well focused repetitions at home, you would be amazed what that will do to your game.

Now, you can use any type of ball, pillow, or pot to work on your swing. I recommend a basketball because it is big and when properly inflated weighs between 7-9 pounds. This means that it will help develop some of your core golf muscles at the same time as you develop your swing. Since the ball has some weight to it, it will help develop some golf muscle endurance.

The great part of practicing this way is that you really see what a strong backswing position looks and feels like. We are going to focus on the shoulder turn. There are many players out there that don’t turn their shoulders to their full capability, and that causes them to lose power and consistency.

The drill is simple in nature, but often the simplest drills are the most effective.

The Basketball Back Swing Drill

1.Hold your basketball between your hands and get into your golf stance.

2.Start your back swing.

3.Stop and hold your backswing position when your left arm is parallel to the ground.

4.Turn and look at your basketball. If you are in great position your ball should be in front of your chest.

5.Repeat as many times as you can.

If you have made a proper turn you hands will stay in front of your chest. If you see any still photos of the best players in the world, they all get to this position. This position is the key to an effective backswing. If you can keep your hands in front of your chest, you will keep your club on the proper line (swing plane), create more power, and use less energy to hit better shots.

If you follow the steps in the drill, and when you get to step 4 and you find that your ball is not in front of your chest it means you are out of position. This will make it much harder to hit great shots. If your ball swings out around your body and ends up behind you it means you did not turn your shoulders enough during your backswing. This will make your swing very flat and lack power.

Please use this drill on a daily basis, as I know it can only positively benefit your game. If you would like to see this swing tip in picture format please visit www.free-golf-lessons.com/free-golf-tip.html.

Good luck with your practicing and playing. May you ‘Play Your Golf Dreams’ sooner.
